The Greatest Question: Why Are We Here?
For those greatest of questions, the nature of our very existence ...
Why are we here?
:: Mate to the Diety ::
His Holiness, the God of Heaven and Earth, is first among seconds. He has no equal. As such, it, by default, would be a very lonely existence. He is the Creator of all we know and everything we don't. By his hand, the spiritual world exists according to his Will and Way.
By the nature of his creation, no animal/creature can mate with anything that is not within the same classification of creature. Dogs must mate with dogs, equines with equines, elephants with elephants. This is because the existensial fiber must be the same between two mating beings. That does not mean they must be the same gender. Yin is to yang, not yin to yin or yang to yang.
As such, God needed beings of the same existencial fiber that he himself had. That meant they had to be free-thinking beings capable of the same thought processes and feelings he himself has. They must be free from his direct influence, so that in creating these free-thinking beings, it would be by their choice, not by his direct coercion that they come into his presence.
What pleasure would it be to have beings come simply because He called? But rather beings who want to co-exist with Him of their own free will.
So he created Earth, a Universe of their own to mold and shape according to their own will, as He has the entire Universe. Within this Earth, a plane of existence separate from his own and void of his direct influence, they could grow and choose their own paths in life.
God would step among these men as an outside influence, a visiting relative that held answers but would not command Man on how to walk the steps of his life, only in direction of how to commune with his Creator.
Through man's personal choice to be with his Creator, God could finally be with someone of the same existencial fiber by choice, not by the power of his Will.
In essence, Man is a mini/demi/pseudo-God. Only, we have no powers, omnipotence or omnipresence. So many Earthly religions have tapped on the truth, but missed the point. We are not Gods to be unto ourselves, but to commune with the Creator, because we are little gods to be mate to the Great God, He who rules above.
And that, is why we exist.
There have been arguments that God is Love, and that is why we exist. Not true. Love is a commitment to the well-being of another, not the desire to procreate. I would love my wife, but that does not mean I wish to make something else to love. That's unrelated.
God wanted something to love HIM. He was lonely, with no being in existence capable of Communing with him on his own level. That is not to say we are AT His level, but rather are of the same type of being remotely capable of Communing with him.
Paul speaks of the Bride of Christ - he's telling us why we exist, right there. We are Mate to God, to commune with him and live with him.
